John Coleman

John Coleman graduated from West LA College in Culver City, receiving his associates degree and put himself through school. He joined the United States Army, gained military and intelligence training and it was there that he learned how to work collaboratively as a team, understanding the value of hierarchy and process in order to run a system smoothly and efficiently. He also learned the value of consistency, multitasking and initiative. John graduated one of ten honor graduates and the second in his class of 150 young men, with the highest physical fitness score. John also partnered within a tutoring company, and worked at the Accelerated School. His desire is to bring the children of South LA an excellent education and cultural opportunity through his KIPP SoCal school.
