Dr. Queenie Johnson
Director of Equity
Dr. Queenie Johnson comes to the KIPP SoCal Team with over 20 years of experience in private, charter, and homeschool education. Over the past 3-years, she has worked in corporate education, delivering DEI workshops to help companies reframe how they design for equity in the workplace. In 2020, after the murder of George Floyd, she built an online-education anti-racism platform, training nearly 1500 allies from five continents with the tools and strategies to dismantle racism and create real change using futuristic approaches & design thinking principles. Ms.Queenie co-founded Black School, Inc, a 501(c)(3), to train Black children to develop a strong ethnic identity and 21st-century leadership skills to shape the future they want to live. Ms.Queenie holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's Degree in Human Development & Social Change, and a Global Executive Doctorate from the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California (USC). She holds both a California Single Subject credential and a California Multiple Subject teaching credential.
