Amanda Cavagnero

Amanda Cavagnero is the School Leader at KIPP Comienza Upper School and has previously served as the Assistant School Leader and Dean. She attended Boston University where she earned degrees in Elementary and Special Education and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction. Upon graduation, she taught in Chelsea Public Schools before joining KIPP Massachusetts to teach 5th and 6th grade English and coach the girls basketball team. When she moved back to LA, she became the Founding 7th Grade ELA Teacher, Grade Level Lead, and Content Lead at KIPP Academy of Innovation before transitioning to Comienza in 2018. Amanda believes in the inherent power and potential of every rising leader and strives to create a school that develops its students to be independent thinkers and transformational leaders in pursuit of their passions.
