Stephanie Kinoshita

Stephanie Kinoshita is currently the Director of Teacher Residency at KIPP SoCal Public Schools. Prior to this, she was the Assistant School Leader at KIPP Raíces Academy, a National Blue Ribbon school and the first KIPP elementary school in Los Angeles. She began her career as a Teach for America corps member in Lynwood, California, and joined the founding kindergarten team at KIPP Raíces Academy in 2008. As a teacher at KRA, Stephanie helped to found the kindergarten and first-grade teams, developed a hybrid coaching and teaching role known as Literacy Lead, and was recognized within the KIPP SoCal region as the Teacher of the Year in 2014. She earned her BA in Sociology from the University of Arizona and her MA in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University.
