KIPP Empower Academy is an award-winning, tuition-free, college-preparatory charter public elementary school and KIPP SoCal’s first elementary school founded in South Los Angeles, part of the national KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) network of 270 schools in 20 states and Washington, DC. 

KIPP Empower is grounded in its mission of empowering students to be strong in mind, body, and spirit. For a strong mind, KEA piloted a blended learning model catering to the variety of student learning styles. For a strong body, KEA has a rigorous program that includes P.E., dance,and healthy & organic food for scholars. For a strong spirit, KEA has adapted culturally-responsive and social-emotional learning teaching practices.

At KIPP Empower Academy, a small group of dedicated mentors are building genuine connections with 3rd- and 4th-grade boys through the Brotherhood Mentorship Program.
