KIPP Forward supports students beyond TK-8, helping them navigate high school, college, and careers.
Since 2013, the dedicated KIPP Forward team has hosted the SWAG (Students Who Achieve & Graduate) Conference for recent high school grads, an incredible day of learning, connection, and inspiration.
This year, our alums gathered at KIPP Endeavor College Prep to gain essential skills and resources for their future paths. Highlights included a motivational keynote from Ashley Glaspie, Founder of Cool Ass Black Woman, who guided students on setting and sharing their short-term and long-term goals.
The KIPP alum panel was equally inspiring. It featured stories of perseverance and success from KIPP Academy of Opportunity alum Simone, a recent Cal State Dominguez Hills grad and current KIPP Forward intern, and KIPP LA Prep alum Jose, a current Occidental College student and current data science intern at Ednovate Schools.
The 2024 SWAG Conference is just one example of our commitment to providing our alumni with valuable tools and resources to successfully pursue their dreams and ambitions. We are so proud of our class of 2024 graduates and all they will achieve.
