On August 10, KIPP Academy of Opportunity proudly hosted this year’s region-wide KIPP SoCal Back-to-School Resource Fair.
Over 720 families and community members attended, making this a vibrant celebration of community, support, and readiness to jumpstart the 2024-25 school year.
We distributed 700 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to ensure our students were well-prepared for success. Additionally, thanks to the generosity of our partners at Baby2Baby, we also provided diapers and baby wipes.
Our partners at Elements Pharmacy hosted a vital vaccination clinic, ensuring that students received their necessary back-to-school immunizations. Scrub Hub also offered free dental screenings to help our students start the school year with bright smiles.
The fair was a hub of resources and connections, featuring 18 community organizations that shared invaluable information and support with our families. We were also thrilled to showcase 34 KIPP SoCal family-owned small businesses at the community celebration. Click here to view the event recap on our Instagram!
