Celebrating Culture and Community at the East LA Mexican Independence Day Parade

KIPP Iluminar, KIPP Sol, KIPP Innovation, and KIPP Endeavor continued our annual tradition of celebrating community and heritage at the East LA Mexican Independence Day Parade, the country's oldest and largest Hispanic parade.

Our students and team members joined over 200 organizations in this historic celebration of Mexican heritage and community spirit. The day was filled with vibrant energy as our schools marched down the 1.3-mile parade route, which was also broadcast live on ABC7.

Before the start of the parade, KIPP Iluminar and KIPP Sol hosted a special civic ceremony featuring elected officials, Lucha Libre icon El Hijo del Santo, and Diana Zermeño, the voice of Dora in the new reboot series.

We're so grateful for everyone who participated and supported us. Your cheers and presence made this a truly unforgettable day! Thank you for highlighting the beauty of cultural pride during Latinx Heritage Month.
